Why wouldn't he want to cut them? Who cares where they arrows came from? He could have cut and inserted the arrows, made a little money and most importantly made a new happy customer.

You're entitle to your opinion, but I think the customer is always right. He could have used the opportunity to convert the OP from an online shopper to a retail customer by showing him ghetto value of good customer service. Sounds like he chose another route instead.

As a contractor I've been ask to work behind someone after I had bid the original job . It doesn't hurt my feelings it all pays money . If he is rich enough to run clients off because he is butt hurt over you buying somewhere else then that's his business . Bad service travels 10 times as fast as word on good service . I'm glad I don't live close and have to deal with him .

Well, I went in the other day to get some arrows cut down and inserts put in. As soon as I walked in I didn’t get a “Hello” or “Hi” or “Good morning” I got “And what is it you need?” I said “I bought some arrows and wanted to see if you could cut them and glue inserts “His response was “Where did you buy theses from?” I said “Midway USA” and he asked why I bought them from there. I told him I was emailed a coupon. You could tell that he was not happy that I didn’t buy the arrows from him. As he is reluctantly cutting my arrows, I ask him “If I bring a new rest in what would you charge me to install it?” His SHOCKING reply as he drops everything in his hands “Look, if you want to buy your cheap Walmart CRAP and bring it in here I will refuse to install it. But if you buy a rest from me I will install in for free!” and picks my arrow back up. I then just bit my tongue and didn’t reply to his rude comment. After a few moments of silence he asked me where I bought my bow from, I told him Sant Fe Archery. He said “He must have sold you one of those QAD pieces of crap huh?” I said no sir, I use a WB and was just asking for a bow that I am trying to set up for my step son. Needless to say I will not be returning to that store. I will make the drive to Santa Fe Archery or Triple Edge Archery. Rant over….
your post has motivated me to call this outfit tomorrow and harass them, I will post up my results tomorrow.

Wow, I never thought this little rant would be so popular. My intent was never to have someone harass him... but let me know how it goes LOL

The son (David) flat out lied to me about a problem with my Bowtech (they're an authorized dealer BTW). Either he was being lazy, or is just an idiot, figuring that I wouldn't call Bowtech, to check it out for myself. That's the last time I ever walked thru their door, and I'm happy to make the 45 minute drive to Santa Fe Archery for all of my archery needs now, and tell all of my friends the very same thing.
I agree Mike, I will never go back. SFA was much easier to deal with. BTW when are we going to get together and go shooting?? I got arra's burnin' a hole in my quiver lol

They definitely don't go out of there way to make you feel like they value your business. I use them for small things because there close but I don't see me purchasing anything major there.

I'm not far from R&C but I always go to Santa Fe for reasons already posted. The guys at Santa Fe are top notch. They actually have my bow now and are putting a new sight on it and cleaning it up. I have always felt welcomed in their shop.

It would make things allot easier if R & C Archery and other shops like his would have a sign on the door saying they will not work on, install or help anyone that does not buy from them..

yes i do. Rich recently joined Glenn there and both of those guys have a wealth of knowledge and have always been nothing but good to me. When Rich was with gander mtn, i bought prolly 6 or 7 bows from him and sent loads more customers to him. Great guy.

You might want to go back and read post #1.

we should harass businesses that need harassing, it's our consumer duty.
