Any Lake Jackson people or South Brazoria county people, Santa Fe Archery is top notch, it's a little bit of a drive, but I'll gladly make that drive over using R&C.

Yes. That's who will be using from now on. Bought my son a fully rigged heli-m from r&c and didn't really make an effort to set it up for him. That was the last chance I gave them.

        Happy SFA customer here.

Sounds like the R&C guy needs a few lashes with an uncut arrow, Capt. Call style.

Yeah it is a shame they act like that to people because they both do really good bow setup work.

Well, I went in the other day to get some arrows cut down and inserts put in. As soon as I walked in I didn’t get a “Hello” or “Hi” or “Good morning” I got “And what is it you need?” I said “I bought some arrows and wanted to see if you could cut them and glue inserts “His response was “Where did you buy theses from?” I said “Midway USA” and he asked why I bought them from there. I told him I was emailed a coupon. You could tell that he was not happy that I didn’t buy the arrows from him. As he is reluctantly cutting my arrows, I ask him “If I bring a new rest in what would you charge me to install it?” His SHOCKING reply as he drops everything in his hands “Look, if you want to buy your cheap Walmart CRAP and bring it in here I will refuse to install it. But if you buy a rest from me I will install in for free!” and picks my arrow back up. I then just bit my tongue and didn’t reply to his rude comment. After a few moments of silence he asked me where I bought my bow from, I told him Sant Fe Archery. He said “He must have sold you one of those QAD pieces of crap huh?” I said no sir, I use a WB and was just asking for a bow that I am trying to set up for my step son. Needless to say I will not be returning to that store. I will make the drive to Santa Fe Archery or Triple Edge Archery. Rant over….
That's hilarious that he mentioned buying archery stuff from walmart. I've seen HIM in there digging through clearance stuff myself.

He put a string that was a 1/2"-3/4"to long on my bow ,a Jennings Buckmaster that I purchased from HIM,I actually bought 2 of the same bow from him. He used the wrong length string because he didn't have the correct length. He shortened it by twisting it a bunch!! I questioned this practice at the time."It will be fine" was his response. The bow shot horrible. Very noisy and a lot of vibration. I took it back a few days later and He would not exchange it because it was "USED". I was furious. That place is a joke.
He lost a good customer. Forever!!!!

Santa Fe for me ever since. David is a stand up guy!!!!

I guess I'm the only one but I can see where he would not care to cut arrows that you bought somewhere else.

I would have been embarrassed to go into a store and ask them to work on something I had just saved a dollar on buying it somewhwere else.

I have not dealt with any other bow shops so I definitely can't say one way or the other on service. But I do agree with the comments in the above statements gotta cater to the people if your gonna be in a business that deals with people. Where in Santa Fe is Santa Fe archery may have to go visit as it is only 30 minutes away.
                Good luck.

Same here. Kinda like taking your own steak to a restaurant and wanting them to cook it for you.

I had a similar experience as the OP at West Houston. Full of attitude when I didn't buy my rest from them, I bought the bow from them and he was still talking trash, showing off for his friends that were in the shop. I had even called and asked them if they carried the rest I wanted, which they didn't. Bought it online and then brought the bow in to have it rigged out. Talked trash the whole time. I WAS going to buy other items, I put them back and took my bow and haven't been back since, and won't go back.

Lol... A dollar?. That's a little extreme to try to make your point. When I bought the arrows in my example it was saving $35-40/dozen.

I hope you don't ever buy a vehicle at a place and have to move because if the dealership in your new town/city thought like you, they won't work on your car.

Talk and treat customers like that and you guarantee they will never buy anything from your store in the future..
