Had a bad experience with R&C Archery
Originally posted by Smart View PostActually its a great comparison. I'm not asking them to work on something like my bow with parts I furnish. I'm asking them to service an individual product that stands alone as itself.
Agreed. Money is money IMO. We will gladly work on parts made in another machine shop, if we can make money off of it. Plus you never know who it is you are dealing with. He could be a huge potential customer. We have a big customer because other shops basically told him they didn't have time to mess with his piddly job. Turns out he was a plant/project manager. A business can thrive or fail on customer service alone.

It's quite the experience...

Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to shoot it and adjust it to my likes before I moved back to Houston. Well, when I got back, I went to Viking (like old times) to play with it a little and fine tune the new bow. While shooting it, Rick took it to make some adjustments on it and literally broke the sight off the bow. He then proceeded to tell me that he could not help me with replacing it even though they were a distributor for the sight manufacturer, and I needed to go back to Clyde's. I can understand if I did not buy it there and I broke the sight, but they were the ones that broke it. That was the last time I ever went to Viking and started going to W. Houston.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago to look at replacing my string, getting some new leaches, and some miscellaneos items changes on the bow at W. Houston. I walked into the store, saw Rick, and turned around and walked out. Needless to say, I need to find an new archery shop in Houston. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
Thanks.

OHHHHHH....not me. I'm stopping. I'm stopping with a 20 year old Darton bow, a winner's edge sight and some wooden arrows. My subsequent thread about that stop is gonna be legendary.

Legendary is an understatement. Video would put it over the top.
