Pulled on a few marsh stuck skiffs in my past life, before the USCG went to Commercial Salvage mode only - only life and death scenes today.
Sat at the dock many many years, listening to the flats and hearing our next call as WOT went thunk and BRAAAPPPPPBRAAAAAPPPPBR - some, we could spot mud 15ft in the air.
Don't miss that one bit. Can't fix - zero planning.
Salvaging with a load from NY NJ DELAWARE and Maryland - all running the Eastern Shore barrier islands with rigs on a flounder, striper, bluefish tear.
Lotta lost lower units - lotta oyster bars there and the local watermen, are none too happy with that scene.
Never had to buy many drinks at the local watering hole, those local watermen, covered - some, wouldn't be here today at some generation before or so, when they were covered by Us.
Miss that side of the business.Last edited by AtTheWall; 01-19-2023, 02:28 PM.

We had one pretty good morning hunt where we were covered up in redheads. Other than that it was pretty slow.

Well went this afternoon and caught a few dink trout on Soft Dines. Decided to try and catch a few flounder for dinner. Heavy jig head pink curly tail. Caught a barely legal flounder and turned it back. Then proceeded to catch trout and redfish on the outside of grass lines slow rolling on the bottom. Kept a trout for me and have a friend passing through tomorrow that wanted some fish so kept enough for him

First trip of the year was an overall success. Fished Monday- Thursday at lunch. We grinded the entire time but managed to put the pieces of the puzzle together and found really solid trout up to 23 inches probably around 5-6lbs.
All fish were caught in mud/shell mix on a variety of soft plastic, corkys, and mirrordines.
We ended up with 10 trout and 6 reds over 4 days with tons of dinks..
I was able to get my best friend on his PB trout of 23.25” overall it was a great trip. Wish I would have taken some better/more pictures.
