A month later took my backup bow which also was bought in his shop in for tuneup and he acted like a jackwad and said yea you bought a new mathews from me but wont be spending that kind of money for a while so i will get to your backup bow when i get ready to in a week or so. Took it from him and have not bought from him since

What a ****!! I would have done the same and probably said something I shouldn't have..

Have known the owner for years and your right he is a "A hole" always has been but he has a racket in that area, that's the only reason he gets away with it. Started going to SFA and they know how to treat people and will continue to go to SFA from now on. Roy can leap off a cliff or was I not suppose to say his name.

Seems like right about there is where things went south.

What's wrong with asking for a quote on the price of installing something? I am thinking you don't know the guy and have never been in the shop so why are you trying to defend him when you have no idea what you are talking about.

I think hes saying the OP ****** off the guy by askin him basically if he was gonna install a sight that the OP bought elsewhere for free.

Sounds almost like the Ol **** from Viking.

This makes me very thankful to be a short drive away from On Target Archery. When I walk in the door I get greeted with, "Hi Greg, how's it going", or some such. I'm always made to feel welcome.

In the OP, he didn't ask the old man to install anything for free. He asked how much he would charge him, to install it.......big difference!

He was ****** off before the mention of the rest and the OP said nothing about installing it for free. He asked what he would charge him to do it.

And from the stories here, it sounds like this Roy guy stays ****** off unless at that very moment, you are spending $1000-$1500.. Then he conveniently forgets that once you leave out the door and goes back into peckahead mode.

Thanks for posting. I don't go there but if I'm ever in the area and see the place I'll just keep driving and not waist my time.
