Whitetail, Axis, few turkey and now hogs. In the hill country. Still pinch myself at least once a week. Aunt and uncle inherited the rest, But I farm and ranch all of it. 250 acres. Cows and farm land. Its a lot o work, but the place pays for itself(for the most part)

Wanted to buy while we are young to have later on when we really have the $ to put into it. For now I will get it fenced by the end of the summer and hunt it until we do something like a cabin or finish out a metal building.

Found 50 acres just west of Leakey on RR 337 just last June. Been doing all kinds of things to make it easier to visit, like electricity, sewer, water well, concrete the barn etc. Wildlife was already there, love it, can't wait to hopefully move there and slow down just a bit. Find something and go for it, life too short not to do it while you can still enjoy it. It doesn't have to be the Ponderosa, just something to call your own. Good luck.
