Some days this is a camp fire were everything is allowed...somedays not so much. I understand what you are trying to do but the monster is created and without a HEAVY hand at the helm it is going to go the way of other forums. I'm not even sure a pay to play scenario would help the downward spiral...and it ain't just black gun talk that is clogging the green screen.

Why so many different threads on the ATA show??!!

I too find I need to use the SEARCH FEATURE more versus my old habit of screening the first page or two for topic specific stuff. Thank goodness a few TBH's made the show - RIGHT ON TIMM & DOUBLE G!

I can't read the site in detail much anymore...too much info to follow.

This is where having different forums for different topics can actually help a little, I think. It does make it easier to scan and/or search a single, more narrowly focused forum when you're trying to find something specific. On other discussion boards I've seen that do have a lot more forums to choose from, having lots of forums doesn't cut down on the number of heated discussions or even the multiple threads on single topics. But it does help to catagorize things better, which allows for an easier way to find things when you're actually looking for them. Most people still seem to not look before posting a new thread. But when you do want to search for something, it's easier to find when you can narrow it down to one small forum.

Wow! Hard to believe all of those who want to ban certain type of discussion because they don't like it. I thought around the campfire was a general discussion area? If I don't like a topic, I don't try to get it removed or banned from the site,I just dont read it. It is really simple.

I think members should be able to discuss things like adults if they want. Even if it is a topic you or I are tired of.

agree 100% when i signed up to this site it said TEXASBOWHUNTER not texasbowhunting i am a bow hunter but there is alot more to me than just that. if i dont like the thread i move on but i love fishing shooting and long walks on the beach if i want to start a thread about it i dont see it hurting anyone

I love how every time there's any news AT ALL, people here think they HAVE to post it right away. As if some of us are stranded on an island that has no news coverage. Last time I checked, the same Internet access that's brings us TBH, also brings whatever news.com site they got their "breaking" news from.
