We try but don't catch them all. Feel free to report when you see any.

Most of the time the decline is a gradual progression between multiple posters. Attempting to "explain" generally results in "we'll he started it" arguments that add to moderating difficulty. Additionally, a handful of other users take sides or offer input into how we suck at moderating. I've found that Deleting the thread is much more effective in having members help self-police those threads or future topics.

Understood as always...we've touched on it before and wish I had the the solutions. Anyway, At least it's never boring and its your ball game.

I don't have much to add except those who don't like to navigate all of the separate forums should give the "New Post" button in the tool bar at the top of any page a shot.

It changed how I use TBH when I found it. Always up to date and can skim all forums at the same time without having to select on each one individually.

This is a tricky question. It seems that if you are a Longhorn fan you will be banned, however fans of the Aggies can do this at will and nothing happens.

Good point. Add to that the guy that constantly cusses or tells dirty jokes in front of the kids around a campfire and you should be able to understand how this "campfire" is not like one in the woods. That argument claiming anything goes because it is a campfire doesn't hold water.

Around a campfire you can't help but hear those things. In this TBH campfire you choose to read the threads. So yes there is a difference.

IMO the AR in Stock thread, this one, and if something newsworthy hits should be enough for people to voice opinions.

so if I wanted to post that Travis County has scrapped plans on banning gun shows on county property like the expo center, should that go in the original potential ban thread so that those who haven't read it yet would either have to read over the entire thread till the end to get to the new information that is contradictory to the original post.

TBH is not in the US Constitution. You have no rights are freedom in here. If you post anything it will be judged by those in authority. The people that use curse words manipulated to avoid the filter are seen by the mods and for the most part they must consider it all good fun, even if its against the rules. As Michael has made clear, we are not here to police things.If you post knowing that a child could be viewing it should make one think before posting. Some just dont give a rip about decency. It does disappoint me that some folks get a pass on decency....just the nature of the beast.
