That coupled with the sticker shock and my ol Xpress will be fighting a couple more summers for me.
Oh, it served me well. First boat I personally paid for, well houston rodeo paid for it.It was 15k in 2006, sold it in 2014 for 12,500 and prolly had 300 hours with 80% salt It went to La and the guy tore the lower unit gears out of it less than a month later. Spent 30 on my current boat and its the best boat I/weve had. Same rig now is 75ish with a zuk and more with a Yamaha. If I had tig welder money, Id have a 23 outlaw JH. I have a lot of crap in my boat and none of it sits on the deck. The express just didnt have that option. My wife wants to have a prodigy built since shes found duck hunting but Im not giving up a glass boat to go back to only aluminum

Any places on Conroe to drop in a kayak and catch a few catfish? Seems like that would be fun for my boys.

Stubblefield park or bridge on the north side of Conroe. Been fishing there since the 70s and usually able to catch something.

I've been impatiently waiting for this time of year. My son and nephew, even more so. Would've gone out last weekend if it weren't for the weather. May have to check the weather for tomorrow night. We go a lot more towards dark. The bite isn't always as fast and catch more dinks, but it's quiet, waveless, and calming to my soul watching a bobber with a glow stick shoot off.

We went last Saturday. It wasnt terrible honestly, I think it rained 3 times for about 10 mins but the fog was so thick you couldn't see 20 yards in front of you until about noon. Very sketchy feeling when you can hear boats running wide open and can't see them. We just hugged the shore until it lifted. You can see how thick it was in this pic.

Would've been late Saturday if we did, went down to gordy and sons Saturday morning for a new pair of boots. Weather looks decent tomorrow night. Thinking i may grab the boat and launch by this time tomorrow and pull a late night. Haven't run the boat since vefore hunting season so needs the tags put on and some open throttle. Maybe a trip down towards walden would suffice for now.

I bet that would really fire up the bite early. Might need a bigger boat and heavier anchor though

Managed a few yesterday and lost a couple at the boat. Slow and a fight with the wind but we were two hours late to start. Not an early group and a tough few days with late nights for me. Skipped today because of the forecast and I think it’s less windy for now. Oh well I’ll get in more trips. I did hook 3 kids on fishing who aren’t outdoors kids.

We started out running around trying to find shallow crappie so we didn't even start catfishing till about 830 am so we missed the good bite at first light. They are definitely starting to show up. We are going again tomorrow morning and will update👍 Click image for larger version Name:	Resized_20250307_141143.jpg Views:	1380 Size:	356.3 KB ID:	27069484 Click image for larger version Name:	Resized_20250307_155909.jpg Views:	1337 Size:	321.1 KB ID:	27069485
Great job! Life can be so overwhelming at times. We get caught up in the hustle and bustle, constantly running from one task to the next. It wasn't until recently that I realized how important it is to slow down and enjoy the little things. Instead of stressing about every little detail, I decided to reach out to ukwritings ukwritings.com/dissertation-services for help with my tasks. Now, I can dedicate more time to what matters most—spending quality time with those I care about and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
