We had a good trip this AM. Caught about 30 & kept 6 for my cousin. We don't care about eating catfish. Got a surprise when I set the hook on this one. Figured a hybrid at 1st.

This past Saturday was actually very nice until about 1130 am and then it blew 25mph after that.....it got real choppy real quick.

That was the worst part. I hit abort based on the forecast and got up an hour after daylight to calm and beautiful conditions. Oh well.

Does anyone know a good place for public access for bank fishing the bulkheads? Maybe a place to throw a cast net and catch a few? Thanks.

Most of the lake is private. You can find so access at bridges and fish the riprap. You will need to be there at first light.

We stopped by Cagle Recreation area looking for bank fishing for the kiddos. They had one spot by the boat launch. I’d get there before daylight, one family was spread out over the whole area. Close restroom access and a nice spot.

I see people fishing at the 7 coves boat ramp when I launch there. I catch'm not far from there, so should be any reason why they would be there also.

Yes, the Peasants boat ramp. There is also a place for us low life's to launch on the other side of the lake up Caney. You might be able to catch some there also. Not much other stuff on that lake open to public anymore.
