this static stretching aint headed the way I want.
I typically don't do enough stretching and mobility work. I'm trying to improve on that, slowly. I'm sure there are plenty of good programs on YT, but I can't think of a specific one other than KneesOverToesGuy. He has some good "bulletproofing" videos for knees, back and shoulders. His approach is usually pretty sound.

Still chipping away here. Only missed 1 day this month so far.

I haven't made it in since March 27. Been too exhausted getting ready for the eclipse and then the big adrenaline dump after it was all over. Maybe tomorrow.

Nice run and good pace, especially with that elevation change!

I had a quality workout on Tuesday (6 sled push/pull, 3 sets each heavy(ish) deadlifts, pull-ups, dumbbell ATG split squats and barbell rows.

                I did a 30 minute run Wednesday.

I’m in “taper mode” for my 10k run on Saturday, so yesterday was a prescribed rest day. My Fenix calls for a 15 min warmup and some short, moderate paced “sprints” today (5 x 0:15 @ 7:15 pace) today. I’m going to nock those out at lunch and then we’ll head to Port Isabel when my wife gets home from work.

That was amazing! So happy i found time to watch it together with my family. Both of my kids were able to join us this time , thanks to the services like these https://academized.com/pay-for-research-paper. They are both students and honestly they don't come to visit is too often cause of very intense schedule and extra work. I really appreciate those rare moments, when we can gather all together and have some quality time.

Been slacking big time on posting workouts and slacking a bit on the actual workouts this past week. Here is what I got done:
                        basketball on Tuesday
Rest days on Wednesday and Thursday
Friday was an extremely none-motivated legs and arms day
                        chest and triceps Saturday
                        traps and legs earlier today

hope to be back to normal this coming week. The weekend workouts were back up to my regular intensity level.

I'm back at it after a 2.5 week hiatus. All those 12-16 hour days planning for the eclipse and then the adrenaline crash afterwards wore this old man out! I made a conscious effort to get after it this morning. My wife can't do crossfit since she broke her foot and is in a walking boot, so she came to the gym with me. She had a workout on her first pharm app that she wants to try so I joined in with her until she goes back to crossfit. It went something like this:

                          Incline DB press 5X6
Lat pulldown narrow supinated grip 5X6
                          Incline DB fly 5X25
                          Seated cable row 5X12
                          Straight arm pull down 5X25
                          Pushups 5X12

It looks like tomorrow is legs and abs. That's gonna suck.

                            Nice work, everybody!

I ran the 40th Annual Causeway 10K on Saturday, from Port Isabel across the Causeway to Louie’s Backyard on SPI.

I was surprised at the number of participants. Best I can tell, there were 1131 runners that finished the 10K (and maybe 3x that many that participated in the 5K walk!)

It took some time to navigate to the starting line and then through the slower runners (and walkers) before I could settle into my pace. It was kind of cool running across the causeway as the sun was coming up!

My goal was to finish in under one hour, and my official chip time was 59:15.7 (9:32/mi pace.) I finished 269 out of 1131 total finishers. I was 17 of 38 in the 50-54 yo male age group (remarkably average! 😜)

I had a good workout yesterday that included box jumps, pull-ups, power clean and press, RDLs and bench press.

Garmin has my Training Readiness at 2 this morning and recommends “rest.” I’ll probably at least sneak in a short run.
