2024 Workout Accountability Thread!

    I missed Friday and Monday. We headed to the ranch my daughter and son in law live on to help with some MLD deer killing. Like 150class, I ate like crap and vodka and 7up is my drink of choice, but I didn't drink that much if it. We did manage to kill 3 very nice bucks. We were exhausted when we got home yesterday.

    Made the gym this morning for chest and back. 5X5 on chest and 5X8-10 on back.

    Bench press/BB row pronated grip
    Incline bench press/TRX plank row supinated grip
    Cable fly/Assisted pullup neutral grip

    A little cardio, abs and shoulders tomorrow.

      Traps and legs along with 20 minutes of cardio on an elliptical; will play some basketball later this afternoon

          Im pretty sure your “meh” workouts are better than most of my “good” ones!

          31st anniversary with my bride tonight, but I managed to squeeze in a solid upper body session before she got home from work.

          5 sets each bench press, pull-ups, bench dips, incline dumbell curls and seated shoulder press. I’m hoping to get in some cardio later!

            Shoulder and back done early this morning… didn’t make it out to basketball yesterday, so going to try to get some cardio in later today…

                I had meetings this morning and by this afternoon I just wasn't feeling it.

                I made myself put on shorts and go walk. I got back to the garage and sat on the bench, answering a few texts on my phone. I walked in and back out of the house a few times. My back, hips and hamstrings were tight, so I decided to do a few deep stretches - *** to grass squat holds, a few split squat holds on the bench, some back stretches. Then I convinced myself to go for another walk to the end of the drive (about 500 steps) and then walked backwards on my return. On the way back, I decided I would do some easy box jumps (something I haven't done in a long time). I did 10, and then another 5 sets of 10 after that. Then I did 15 light (35#) KB swings. Felt pretty good, so I did four more sets of 15 at 53#. By that time, I was pretty much out of my funk and did five sets of loaded ATG Split Squats, 6 reps of Sled push/drag (typically a warmup, but I counted it as part of my workout today) and finished with some weighted glute bridges.

                TLDR: I had one of those "meh" workouts today (even by my standards), but I'm pretty proud of it because of how close I came to doing nothing. Discipline>Motivation

                          Made it in today and decided at the last minute to do nothing but strip sets. I should have rethought that idea. All upper body

                          Bench press/t-bar row/preacher curl/rope pushdown
                          Incline DB chest press/BB curl/overhead rope extension
                          Pec deck/overhead cable curl/straight bar pushdown pronated grip

                            Forgot my watch today but knocked out a solid shoulder and core day. Slower paced but awesome pump. Wrapping up a 10 min sauna session followed by a 4 min cold plunge.

                              Crushed deadlifts, back squats and bench press. I don't know if it's a placebo effect or what but I started taking creatine 5 days ago and I really felt strong today. Was able to get a few extra reps in on everything.

                                I squeezed in 5 sets each of incline bench press, pull-ups, dips, cross bench db pullovers and db bicep curls before we headed out for a birthday weekend.

                                I’ve been talking creatine for a few months. I started it before I was lifting seriously, so I’m not sure how much of a difference it’s making, but I like to think I’m benefitting from it.
