For sure theres no way a DPMS can run through as many rounds as an LWRC and keep running the way it's supposed to before you run into some problems. But for hunting coyotes, shooting prairie dogs or going to the range to plink around a Bushmaster or DPMS is honestly the way to go unless someone has the money to drop on a higher end rifle. And I'm sure that's the type of shooting most people are going to be doing so a rifle over $1000 isn't a must have. And there are alot of people that think that if they don't have a Colt or something similar that they don't have a good rifle which isn't necessarily true.

Again, I go back to apparently different people have different opinions of what makes a "good" rifle. If by good, it means it goes bang and is relatively accurate, for me that doesn't make it a quality rifle and there lies the difference I believe. Good and quality are two different things.

That's true. For me I just need a "good" one that will work and maybe hit a coyote within 300 yards if I do my part.If I were shooting in 3-gun competitions or just wanted a higher end rifle right now the LWRC M6 SPR would be at the top of my list.

It's no different than a Chevy vs Ford vs Dodge discussion. Everyone has and is entitled to their own opinions! Doesn't matter what you buy as long as your happy! Every brand will have its good and bad! It what works for you that really matters in the end! Good luck!

Agreed, but just like tools, husky ratchets will break long before craftsman which will break more often snapon. Occasional use on any brand is going to be okay for a while until you start handling better gear. But saying a husky screwdriver is made the same as snapon or mac or matco is ludicrous.

I have been checking reviews on the Windham brand. Does any one in the circle of wisdom have any experience with this brand? Thank you

Sadly that's an ok price in these times but normally that's a $750-$800 rifle.

They are not full mill-spec and for the price compared to others that may be a good deal. I haven't priced anything in the last month but I bought one for 800.00. Example: Colt 6920 w/magpul furniture was selling for 1059.00 in December. It comes down to you having to decide to wait and see if things calm down or buy because you don't want to. As far as the gun itself I say it is a very well built gun. Trying to find one at Academy with your time and gas as well as the frustration, it may be worth paying a little extra. Good luck and let us know what you end up getting.

BCM is GTG, for sure. But how do you get more for your money? You can still buy a Colt 6920 for $1097 at WalMart or $995 at DSG Arms. No, they are not easily found in stock right now but neither is BCM. Please tell me where I can pick up a BCM for under $1100.
