I just sold a Oly bull barrel three weeks ago. I had it for probably 6 years and never had an issue. Ran 1500 rounds through it over that time period and never a FTF or FTE. Took the money from that and bought an Armalite AR15 to match my Armalite AR10.
I recently bought a POF 308 from someone here but no one ever lists them even though they are top notch - I guess because there aren't as many of them made.
Now that the ban looks like it isn't going any where, I'd wait for the right deal. In the next 3-4 months you will see prices drop. There will also be people looking to dump the AR they bought in the craze because they don't really need/want it. Others will be strapped for cash and sell at the new lower market level. I would start buying mags if you find them at a good price because that is one thing that I think the Anti's may slide past within another bill.
From what I have seen this past month $1700 is a good price for a Colt 6920 I haven't seen one for under $2000. I would grab one for that price but I have a 6920 with magpul furniture already in the safe. She's the queen as of now. I also have a Rock River LAR-15 custom, (was set up as a yote killer) that is older and very accurate and a dream to shoot. I luv em both.

6920 colt = 1175. is THE standard and meets ALL criteria for battle rifle use set forth by the govt.
dpms = 825 +cost of sub par bbl replacement(295 up), plus cost of auto BCG(165), plus any magpul furniture you want to put on it. add into that of a better trigger (65 and up).
keep in mind this list is for people who want quality, precision, and life dependent gear. they are built properly, staked properly, QCed properly, and guaranteed. if your life isnt going to have to be placed in its care, then shoot what you want.

Right now Im gonna wait.
But if they get back down to reasonable or if I find a good deal I may snag one just to set on in the safe.

My stock Rockiver never had an issue and my competition rock rivers run great too, and they run in high stress situations.
With all the different ARs out there and what most people are going to use them for, I feel there is a better way to spend money.
