    Ar low -high end?

What list would y'all put ARs in like brand names.
Not saying any are bad just want to kinda get an idea what's where(hard to do with the Increase of prices). There is a lot of brands out there to choose from.

Olympic has always been at the bottom of my list. Noveskie and LaRue on upper end. Everything else falls in between.

Here is a short list of ones that I would buy:

      Larue
      LMT
      LWRC
      Wilson Combat
      Les Baer
      Daniel Defense (Own One)
      Colt
      Rock River (Own one SBR)
      ArmaLite
      Sig Sauer
      Spikes
      PSA
      DPMS
      Bushmaster

That would be my list of ones I either own or would own. There are lots of other makes out there both high and low end. But, the ones on my list are ones that I have personally used.

Cmmg is one i forgot off my list. In my opinion they were (pre craze) the best rifle for the money $600-800 range.

The M&P is ok, nothing special really but decent

I'm curious. Might be needing a few.

I have been looking all night for the past couple nights. I find them for 1k-1200. that is the m4 style or bull barrel. im looking for a tactical/self defense. there running about 1500 with some rounds and maybe a mag or 2. if your lucky they have flip up sights.
the ones im looking at are all mid-low range on the list above. m&p, spikes, cmmg, dpms, some rock river. just have to look hard and have cash in hand.

hope to add to my collection soon.

If you can snag a rock river in the 1k range, you are not paying much more than normal. RR is a great brand. I would put it above what you have listed. It is not the highest end, but way better than a mid-low end gun.
                    From the list you provided

                    Rockriver
                    Spikes/cmmg
                    Dpms
                    S&W

Think the are all ok and you wont go wrong depending on the markup. I would rather pay the mark up for a higher end than the lower end.

the 6920 has the small diameter pins.

i think its funny that oly arms is a better rifle than DPMS

I was offered a 6920 SOCOM by a dealer for $1,750 shipped but passed. He is going to call me when he gets another 6920 Magpul and I'll probably grab it when he calls. I'll have one to shoot and one to keep in the safe.

I just sold a Oly bull barrel three weeks ago. I had it for probably 6 years and never had an issue. Ran 1500 rounds through it over that time period and never a FTF or FTE. Took the money from that and bought an Armalite AR15 to match my Armalite AR10.

I recently bought a POF 308 from someone here but no one ever lists them even though they are top notch - I guess because there aren't as many of them made.

Now that the ban looks like it isn't going any where, I'd wait for the right deal. In the next 3-4 months you will see prices drop. There will also be people looking to dump the AR they bought in the craze because they don't really need/want it. Others will be strapped for cash and sell at the new lower market level. I would start buying mags if you find them at a good price because that is one thing that I think the Anti's may slide past within another bill.

I knew it wouldn't be long before "The List" got broken out. , IMO you don't need mil spec to have a great rifle. It depends on the application of the rifle. If this is a hunter/plinker/self defense model, you'll be fine with most typical AR's. if you're planning to engage an army or the zombie apocalypse and think you might fire 5000-10,000 rounds a day for months on end, you might want to look at a Colt (allegedly). I am admittedly somewhat biased in my view of RRA, I think they make the best "mid grade" AR out there. You get a 1MOA guarantee and an excellent trigger that comes stock, not to mention very tight tolerances between the upper and lower receivers. I paid $950 back in 2007 for mine and that was the going rate for them back then. That's my .02

                              LMT
                              LWRC

                              Daniel Defense

                              Noveske

In no particular order, the above list is GTG, I like Colt myself, just
