CHL Live Wait

Took my class on 12/31. Fingerprints and background were already done prior to class. Received my license on February 6th.

Dear Lord this thread just hit a nerve with me!!!

My DOB was incorrect on my last CHL, so I can't renew online.....

SO. I took my renewal on 11/22/12.
Notorized all paperwork and sent to state of TX on 11/23/12
1/11/13 I call to check status, told that it was processed, expect card in 5-15 days.
2/7/13- Still no CHL, so I call back. Told it was sent to my address and I should have it by now. Tell them I did not receive it. Was told that they would send replacement.

STILL WAITING and have been unable to carry now since 12/31/12.

NOT A HAPPY CAMPER

Oh, and I still can not check my status online.......

Update on mine....called 12 days ago. They confirmed that it was mailed to me, however I never received it in the mail.

Said they would print another one and send it.

....still waiting.....

Call the number on Texas.gov some times it takes a phone call to update, mine was pending background for about a week i called and they checked it and said " oh they just forgot to update it in the system it is now ready for manufacturing." Call them about once a week keeps them on their toes.

Can somebody post this #? I am having a hard time finding it on my phones browser.

I combined these threads, but as you can see from above, it generally takes several weeks to update the site. I sent mine (certified) a few weeks ago and still haven't seen an update.

Received mine in the mail yesterday!!! Took class first....applied online and paid 12/30....fingerprinted I believe 1/3....put it all in the mail around 1/4....got license 2/21.

I decided to call just to see if I could get through, and to see if there's something I might have forgotten to send. I was on hold for 7-8 minutes. They showed that they hadn't updated my photo holder and class completion. That would be forms CHL 6 and CHL100 that I sent (certified mail) about three weeks ago. He said it normally takes about a month to update after receiving, so I expect that it'll update next week or so. Like I said, i don't want it to update before my birthday on Sunday, anyway, so I'm ok with that!

I'm getting antsy. Its been 6 weeks since I mailed my packet and 5 weeks since they received it.

I spent 25min on hold Friday waiting to see what they would say, finally had to go to another hospital so I had to give up.

Mine was received on 2-13 and still shows waiting on materials. This wait is killing me
