Did you send your paperwork via certified mail with a signature required....

If not that was your first mistake..

Why is that? I'm in the same boat as these guys.

Call the number on Texas.gov some times it takes a phone call to update, mine was pending background for about a week i called and they checked it and said " oh they just forgot to update it in the system it is now ready for manufacturing." Call them about once a week keeps them on their toes.

Don't expect the state to be in any hurry on updating their website.

Certified mail you will get a notice in your mail that they in fact did receive it. (not required.. just for your reassurance)

The website takes a while to re fresh I think they refresh it on mondays from what I saw... but could have been coincidence.

Don't start worrying yet, mine took 4 weeks from the day I mailed it to show up as received on the website. I didn't send it certified or anything.

I submitted all my paperwork for my CHL about two weeks ago. Today I check the site for progress and it is still stating that they are waiting on me to send the paperwork? Do they update the site accordingly?

I combined these threads, but as you can see from above, it generally takes several weeks to update the site. I sent mine (certified) a few weeks ago and still haven't seen an update.

I did not send mine with request for signature. It took 2 1/2 weeks for my screen to change to "checking background". I an at just over a month now and today it changed to background complete pending manufacturing.

Yea that's taking some getting used to. It's as slow as molasses flow in winter.

Mine has been in mailed status 7 days so I guess any day now.
