Texas Draw Hunts

I struck out on Muley as well (tecnically pending 2nd). I have 14 points which I believe is the maximum since that's about when they split the Muley hunts from the WT.

Sadly, a bunch of us have 14 or 15 max points due to that split.

Oh well, I still have NM in a down muley unit to look forward to in Nov.

Drew Trinity River Muzzleloader deer for briarwood and Boars den. Are those hunts/units any good?

Had 16 and no draw. I was hoping not to pull one because some were at the same time as my Chap hunt.

I actually withdrew from one of the mule deer hunts because it conflicted with Laguna. I recommend doing that so you don’t miss out on an opportunity and lose all your points.

I drew brierwood. Sounds like it is good for hogs but tough for deer. Need to decide if it is worth the permit fee.

Last year I hunted it with rifle and saw some does. There are lots of sign for hog and deer but pretty quiet. We had a group of 3 and I was the only person to see animals out 3-4 days.
