    So being pro gun is your definition of a patriot. .. you really need to rethink your dictionary.

    There are plenty of people who are not pro gun that have given everything to protect this country.

    Your ideology is flawed.

    Trump has never done anything that would reflect that he does not love this country. Question his manner, question his methods, even question his goals but you have no basis to attack his love for this country.[/QUOTE]

    No sir, my ideology is on point. If you try and restrict my rights given to me by my birth I have a problem with you. I don't care if you're a veteran or not. Besides, I never said anything about veterans (prior to this post) or sacrificing their lives to protect this country.
    Note: there is a difference between being pro or anti something and trying to take my rights. I care less if you are pro or anti, as long as you respect my right.

    I never said he doesn't love this country. I simply stated, to me, he is not patriot. That belief is summarized above.

    Both you and rage need to quit putting words in my mouth. If you have a question on a stance, ask.

So unless we are ready for civil war, we have to find common ground with those with whom we may disagree politically.

      By the way, I agree on government overreach into every aspect of our lives being a big issue. But I include in that our own government spying on and keeping records of everything we do - from online browsing habits to who we know, who we talk to and how long to where we go.

      Anyway, not trying to argue with you much less change your mind. Just offering a different perspective.
      I understand the perspective. I also agree with your assessment of the progressives in both parties (the ones that gave us the welfare state as well as the ones that gave us the NSA and corporate welfare). I just think it's time to either defeat them and get our constitutional republic back or just give up and let them have it for good. Continued compromise with them just gets us incrementally closer and closer to socialism. If we're not going to fight back, what is the use of trying to find ways to compromise with them?

      That's my thinking anyway. I'm just fed up with the progressives, and I'm sick of us not doing anything to defeat them. The whole Trump phenomenon is coming from that same kind of frustration, but the hope that Trump is the answer is misplaced. Trump won't do anything to reduce the size and scope of government. He doesn't want to tame and cage the monster. He just wants to be the guy controlling it so he can use it for his own gain. That's pretty frustrating as well.

      I think I'll go play my guitar for a while. That's always good therapy.

        You should take advantage of Obama care and seek professional help for your denial issues. You are now on my ignore list. You speak from both sides of your mouth.

        Good luck...

          And thankfully and unknown to some a Patriot is not an opinion as defined by Webster.

          Patriot;
          Noun;
          Simple Definition of patriot
          : a person who loves and strongly supports or fights for his or her country

              For one you could use OC to learn to use the quote feature properly. You got the whole mess in a mess. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23].
