2005 A six pointer out of the back yard. I was standing on the roof of the house. My wife had the deer patterned knew exactly when they would come in. I was using an old PSE brute force. Didn't realize how bad I was shaking to till I got down and heard the ladder rattling against the gutter!

                    First Bow Kill

Fall of '77 Junior at Texas A&M. Was hunting at Aransas Pass Wildlife Refuge Public Deer hunt.

4" of rain from San Antonio Bay way drenced us camping hunters..... water everywhere. Hunted in rubber concrete working type boots. Walked a trail, up came a high spot with no water and there greeting me was a coiled up water moccasin. Distance: 10ft; Bow: Indian Archery Recurve; Result: Separated head from body with exception of small piece of snake skin, lol.

Oh man, talk about heart breaking!!! She got the double whammy for sure. So what is the rest of the story? Did you recover her or let the insurance Gods claim her?

My first kill was a cottontail rabbit at 15 yds. I remember being amazed that an arrow was able to kill an animal.
First big game was a caribou, Aug 92, up on the North Slope of Alaska.
