Love to see old threads brought back to life. First kill was a lizard when I was around six. Ken Whitt set up my first bow and I remember shooting at the shop like it was yesterday. That was 21 years ago. Get your kid involved in archery when they're young and it will stick with them forever.Comment

2003 junction, tx. I shot a doe with my pse nova. Gold tip 55/75 arrow tipped with a 100 grain thunderhead broad head.
I was sitting in a brush blind. Drew on her and let down about 6 times before I was able to shoot!

the first animal i ever killed with a bow was a rat in my moms yard when i was 6 with a 20lb walmart bow.heck of a shot too! instinctive shooting a running rat at ten yrds! lol
now the first animal i ever killed with a bow on an actual hunt was a hog when i was 8 with a browning micro midas set at 45lbs. it was a spot and stalk hunt with my dad and we were on a farmers property that did day hunts. i wanna say it was in brazoria..Comment

Oct. 29, 2010.....Wimberley, TX: 8 pointer that scored 128".
I made a perfect shot at 19 yds and saw him go down 50 yds later, THEN I started shaking like a leaf on a tree. He's still my biggest deer to date and then I shot my 2nd biggest buck (120"), exactly one year (to the day) later, with a bow on the same lease.Comment
