I have to admit that the “fish in the trash can” has a certain nefarious and sinister value to it.

Filing it away for future consideration.

I get that being considerate falls very low on the scale of priorities for many of the folks on here (at least behind the keyboard), but I don't see a request to move that particular trailer in this particular instance as the least bit unreasonable, even if how they've gone about it is unconventional.

It’s not unreasonable to write stipulations in a housing contract about the location of SOMEONE ELSE’S trailer?? Are you serious?

The rest of his yard is covered by aerobic sprinklers, and it’s HIS YARD!

This is ridiculous, build a taller fence!

That’s just beautiful. Anybody have an old trailer for sell? Or sale if you understand English. Thinking about building a six foot fence and parking one next to my house.

Actually, I am a very considerate neighbor. I recently purchased a new house and did not ask any of the neighboring homeowners to change a thing with their property. I, however, do reach out to all of my neighbors when I am going to be doing something new to my property. For instance, I made sure they were ok with me getting chickens and a chicken coup, even making sure they were good with the location.

With that said, if one of my current neighbors were to sell their house and the buyer wanted to me to change something on my property, they could go pound sand.

If you use this idea, we will need pictures and a story.

Correct. You're trying to sell me the house. I'm willing to buy if you can work out something with the neighbor concerning the 30 year old trailer that's so close to the fence and property line
of his giant empty lot that it casts a shadow into my potential new pool. Nobody's demanding the OP do anything. They're placing a stipulation on the seller if he wants them to buy. It's not the least bit unreasonable. If OP refuses, it puts the potential buyers in a position to request that the flipper come up with another solution, such as the 8-ft fence many have suggested. All that said, I also don't think it's unreasonable for the OP to refuse to move it. It never hurts to ask, though, and for some it's easier to put that task in the hands of the person trying to sell it, including these potential buyers, apparently. It may also give them some recourse with the seller if our OP does agree to move it, then doesn't, or doesn't find a deer lease, or whatever. Better to have a written contract with the seller saying that it'll happen than a verbal agreement with the neighbor.

As much as I don't want anyone to do wrong to you, I am waiting on pins and needles for someone to push you to the point of doing this now.

Unless I’m trying to sell my house too, IDGAF about the property values. In fact, the lower the better on my county appraisal. [emoji1]

There’s a short list of people in my neighborhood who deliberately and flagrantly violate HOA restrictions and covenants. If they only lived next door to me…

That said, I have taken matters into my own hands a time or two in the past when neighbors fail to respond to my attempts at asking nicely, but discretion and prudence prohibit me from enumerating them here.

Were your neighbors feeding the beavers?

Did they not see the thing the first time they looked at the house? Or maybe they figured we gotta get dibs on this place so no one else beats us. Better sign a contract and if we can't make him move his trailer we'll walk, thus wasting everyone's time. Boo hoo, it's ugly. Really? How about we make part of the contract that you can't have a bunch of screaming kids and drunks in the pool? Absolutely friggin ridiculous the way some want others to be the good neighbor while trying to jerk them around. Sign of the times I guess.

Everybody around my 'hood are duds, nobody outdoorsy as far as I can tell, though every now and then there's a boat in the driveway a few streets over that's about it.

I think you should do whatever it takes to keep those people from buying the house, if they're complaining about that they'll always be a thorn in your side. Maybe the house flipper lied to you and there's no buyer yet but he wants it to show better or something and didn't have the cajones to say so.
This could be a real possibility. OP have the flipper ask the buyer to come over and talk. Tell him the camper is temporary and then the buyer(if there is one) can decide on his own.
