    possible new neighbor issue

any input on this? or dealt with something similar? our neighborhood was annexed into city limits 3 years ago, all 1+ acre sites, no HOA or anything and we have/had 2 travel trailers in our back yard prior to the annex so we are grand-fathered in. the house behind us was foreclosed on last year and the guy that purchased to flip it approached me about a contract he just got on the sale of the house. the 6ft tall wooden fence on the property line is 10-12ft from their pool and their house. 1 of my trailers is against my side of the fence. the buyers wrote in that they want my travel trailer moved away from the fence before they will sign the contract. its our deer lease trailer and only at home until i find a new lease. the seller and buyer are aware of that but buyer still insists. if i move it for 30 days for the sale then move it back could the seller be in breach of contract and list me as liable? im pretty much in mind to leave it where it is, to not be involved, as well as being my property and not allowing someone to dictate what i do with my property.

Let them deal with it. It's not your issue

Do you want someone who makes demands on what you do with your property BEFORE they move into your neighborhood to be your neighbor? :-)

You cannot be held liable for anything if you move it and move it back later. Seriously, if it is that important to the others involved, tell them to cover storage fees until you find a lease.

Put the other one next to it against the fence.

If they are pain in the *** neighbors before they even live there, I sure wouldn't want them moving in.

No way i'm getting involved with that. Who knows what a judge would say if they looped your name in a lawsuit for breach of contract.

I understand where you are coming from as well as the new neighbor. I for one would not want a camper parked up against my back fence to look at while in my pool. It is your property though so i guess do as you please.

Not my problem. If the person will not buy a house because of a travel trailer on someone else’s property that is within the law, then apparently that’s not the home for them.

I would just tell them you will be moving it in a few months when you find a new home for it, otherwise they can build an 8 foot tall fence if it bothers them that much.

Tell the seller No, possible a bad neighbor from the start

Like said above you can politely inform them that it will not be there permanently but it stays where it is at until you need to move it. If they are trying to make a demand like that before buying the house then it’s gonna be 10x worse when they move in. I wouldn’t even consider it and if they decide against buying it you just did yourself a favor pushing them down the road. There will be other buyers.

I’d apologize to the seller and let him know you are not moving it.

If the buyers back out, you dodged a bullet. Seller will be upset with you, but he is temporary. You don’t want folks like that living behind you.

I would be telling somebody to go pound sand.

The seller is making a bundle off of the sale. Tell him to pay for a storage unit for you, otherwise it stays until it heads to the lease.

If you didnt sign anything, you're not involved.

The seller cant make promises on your behalf. Sounds like they promised something they are expecting you to cover. WTH is that?

Tell them to build a taller picket fence. I think they make 8' pickets and with a rott board, they can get a fence just over 8-1/2 feet.

You don't want them for neighbors, so don't do anything, don't worry about it. Let them find another place to live, and a pain in someone else's rear, once they move in.
