I just don't understand how hard it is to do what a police officer is asking. It was a simple ticket for doing something that is in the books as against the law. Regardless if you think it is right, wrong, for petty fees or what, it is against the law.

How many times do we see a shooting and when watching everything unfold, it is because some idiot was to proud or stupid to do what was asked of him/her.

For those that don't like law enforcement, don't call them in the middle of the night when all hell breaks loose or when you're in an emergency and they can escort you to the nearest hospital.

This world is turning into a complete disaster and a lot of it has to do with the lack of respect and a me first attitude.

As far as seat belt laws go, they can be a disadvantage but they also save lives. I've worn my seat belt every time since March 1996 when a high school friend was killed when he veered off the road and was ejected. His car rolled on top of him. The drivers side of the car didn't have a dent one, all I can guess is that if he would've had his seat belt on, lives wouldn't have been shattered that night.

Dude was a jackwagon. Arguing is one thing, assaulting a police officer is just stupid.

Cop refused to get her supervisors on the radio, because it was rush hr and they were blocking traffic lol.
How about don't pull someone over in rush hr and block traffic.
Sounds like he most likely got caught in one of the DPS merry go round scams, and had a lot of angst. I don't know the story but all the warrants were for traffic violations.
True. We need to reform what we are policing for. I can ride my motorcycle down the same road I would get a ticket for not wearing my seatbelt on. Stupid.

He was not going to jail for not wearing a seat belt.
He did not get shot for not wearing a seat belt.

Yes he was going to get a ticket for not wearing a seat belt. Because its the law.

The cop should have just told the dumbass to put his seat belt on and get on down the road. Having the sense to know you aren't always the baddest MF'r in the equation (gun or not) can/will save your life.
The cops ego was never a problem here. He was enforcing the law. Because that's what he gets paid for... Same reason you go to work..

The driver did not deserve to be shot with the 9mm in the back. He was not worth what the bullet cost.

More like a 22 bullet in back of the head. Hes nothing but an oxygen scavenger.

He was going to jail anyway for a suspended license and he knew it. Thats why he was stalling.

If you had more gold and were friends of the Royal Court you could commit 16 felonies and walk away. But yes as is you will get a ticket for not wearing your seatbelt

A cop is just following orders from his/her corrupt leaders who sit in positions of power never intended to be amassed by a free society. Its ultimately on them. I have a very hard time reconciling the massive number of HCSO deputies writting tickets on 99 to generate revenue off of what they know are people of at least some financial means (toll road to work from outside city limits) when in our own back yard sits the human trafficking capital of the USA. I guess all the rapists, gang members and murders have been rounded up already. Missed that memo.

I wonder what his plan was after he slammed the cop to the ground in the middle of a public street?

That 180 grains of hot lead sure changed his attitude in a hurry.

But. Not Every Leo is good and treats everyone with respect. Thats not the ones this thread is about.

This thread is about a cop that was doing his job and stopped a POS. Simple really.

It becomes REAL HARD, when they have the right to take your freedom away for a traffic violation.
Even harder when they arrest you on 4 different occasions, haul you to Lou Sterrats in downtown Dallas, and drop you in the tank, with crackheads all hopped up, ****** off brothers cussing you because you look at them wrong, etc..all for a warrant that DID NOT EXIST/NEVER EXISTED. It's very inconvenient, and I have better things to do with my life than sit in a tank until they decide there is no reason to hold me.
Then kick you out on the street at 3 am, with no car(impounded), no cell phone(left in the car).
Do you think I ever recieved a single apology? You think even a single cop cared? You think they waived my impoundment fees? You think they replaced my can of skoal?
In case you are wondering, the answer is NO.
I have 0 criminal history, no record whatsoever.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
When you start messing with someone freedom, over BS, well, you should expect anything that might come your way.
You are not God even though most think they are.

I completely agree that if you choose to drive without a seatbelt, you should be able to do so at my own peril. I'm a libertarian in that way and your actions are inconsequential to me. However, the law says otherwise and arguing a law you don't agree with on the side of the road with a couple of armed officers isn't helpful to getting the law changed.
