I don't see how he would survive another losing season even if he beats OU.

I would go get Herman even if 7 wins.

I think you're at the line but will depend on who they lose to and how badly.

Correct. The next two games will tell us a lot.

The kool aid and sunshine pumping sure did ruffle some feathers on here though. No one ever knows what you really think.

You get TH with Strong's recruits.

I think Strong is exactly what Texas needed after Mack to start the rebuild the program. I am not sold on him being the guy to finish it. He has everything headed in the right direction, but I keep seeing some hiccups that I don't like. Honestly, its the same things my U of L buddies told me I wouldn't like about Strong.

7-5 with a bowl win, true freshman QB that shows promise, 2 good recruiting classes, mostly sophs and freshmen playing........boy Tom sure would inherit a good young roster.

This. He was 7 points from 3 more wins last year, so you can't really look at 6,7,8 wins being the difference. It is how they play in those games.

The freshman and sophs excuse is getting old. Just admit Charleigh is not what y'all that he was and let's move on. Mmmk[emoji12]

His game management or mismanagement and loyalty to coaches on staff are my biggest concerns outside of a team that always seems to commit entirely too many penalties. It may simply be too big of a stage for him. With the moves that have already been made, I now feel it's win or bust for Strong even though I always thought it was best for him to get four years. I no longer think he will get the luxury of surviving an average type season with 7-8 wins (total).

Saturday morning is a litmus test. Though they have 2 losses, the Pokes have a pulse.

Yep. Love the guy. Everyone does. But, some of the in game decisions are headscratchers. If I see one more blitz with corners 10 yards off the line in a soft zone I'm gonna need a new TV.

With Herman in play and our problems now being on D and his continued support of Bedford, I agree. Charlie will sink or swim THIS season. No more life jackets on the boat.

This is exactly what my buddies said to watch out for.

Record wise (2-1) they are right where the majority of people think they should be but its hasn't looked like it should (defense and kick coverage). This Saturday is pretty telling. My issue is if we feel that game 4 into season 3 feels like a must win it should make everyone look at this a whole lot closer.

More trivia, the winner of those 7 games was favored (Vegas).

No doubt. It could be one of those immediate impact seasons in year 1.

Well then one of those trends will end this year!
