    RTIC Coolers bait and switching their warranty

    Just changed their warranty from 7 years to 90 days

    If you received your order before a certain date the 7 years will still apply.. If you pre-ordered after the date it will not.. Not sure what the date is..

    May want to call them to see if you are lucky or unlucky

    That doesn't surprise me one bit. I would never buy from them just based on how they run things. Everything they do seems shady.

        How are they shady for selling essentially the exact same product as YETI without the obscene markup?

          I chatted with a lady about it on their site and was told that it was done to "help keep the cost down".

            I just sent an email inquiring if they will honor the advertiser warranty when they took my money. Hopefully I hear back before I get my cooler. I ordered October 20, 2015

                WOW. I own 2 of these coolers and am disappointed to see a change in their policy. I don't think I will be buying any more.

                    If you "bought" the cooler when it was offered with a 7 year warranty then delivery date shouldn't matter unless this was directly addressed in their initial sales contract/paperwork. Sue them under DTPA. Your damages could be three times what you paid for the knock off and reasonable attorneys fees. Attorneys can be quite unreasonable with their "reasonable" fees. :-)

                            This. But they know most won't mess with the headache, the few who do will be easily appeased with a replacement cooler and the few who will actually pursue this to the full extent of the law are measured risk.

                              It says 90 days from the original date of receipt. Is the receipt the email from the day of order or is there a receipt when it ships?
