RTIC Coolers bait and switching their warranty

I know I've said it before but...
Igloo Sportsman - Not just made in the USA but Made in Texas with a 5-year warranty and "Half the price" of those other coolers.

I emailed RTIC back and mentioned getting together with other TBH'rs along with any other outdoor forums reguarding deceptive trade practices. This is the song they are now signing.

My deepest apologies. I just started in Customer Service and misunderstood the policy. After speaking with my manager, he informed me that I was incorrect in my response to you and that we will honor the seven year warranty for all coolers purchased prior to the date that we changed the warranty. Again, I'm really sorry for the misinforming you and will send you a 30 oz tumbler free of charge for your troubles.
I hope that you will continue to enjoy your cooler and will enjoy your new tumbler as well.

Not sure how much better the sportsman is, but I have the 54 qt STX Igloo Cooler and it is not worth a flip for holding ice.

I bought a Bison so I wouldn't have to carry but one cooler with me on trips. I used to have to pack 2-100 qt igloos and a 48 qt to get through 3 or 4 days at the lease. Now I just pack the 150 qt and I have more room and it works out better if I have to cut up animals to put in cooler.

Go buy a Yeti soft side and then tell me its not worth it.

Well for half price if I break one I can just buy another and still break even over a Yeti.

I got a email from them about this and they responded all warranties are 90 day regardless of purchase date. Don't see how that can be legal.

Probably because they offered a full refund according to that message you quoted.

Totally different cooler. The Sportsman is a roto-molded cooler not the "prettied-up" typical igloo the STX is.

I'll keep buying, the one I have should last a lifetime, you want warranty? Go ahead and get a yeti, pay for the warranty. If my RTIC breaks ILL BUY ANOTHER AND STILL BE AHEAD OF THE GAME. My 65 RTIC is a true 65 also. So I still choose RTIC, so far I have had no problems with cooler or customer service.

That is the reason I said that I did not know how much better the other cooler was over the STX I have and all I stated was that the STX was not worth a flip at holding ice. did not research the difference. Besides, my Pelican has a lifetime warranty and it holds ice like crazy as does the Cabela's cooler I have also.
