One thing the HCO Spartan folks announced yesterday is that in February or March their Verizon GoCams will be able to be added to users Verizon shared data phone plans for $5/month plus the taxes. This is a game changer for folks who have Verizon phones and good signal at camp. Heckuvalot cheaper than it has been for using a Verizon cell cam in the past. There will also be Sprint plans later this year for $8.33/month.

I would imagine all the cellular trail camera brands would have similar options as well.

I do not know anything about a family plan with the 2015 model. To my knowledge it will only run on a prepaid account thru AT&T on their BUY A SESSION site

this is my experience as well. The new cameras come with a sim card that runs off a prepaid account only.

AT&T switched my parent's plan from unlimited data without them knowing over a year ago. They never came close to the data limit that they switched them to so they never recognized they had been switched until last month when for some reason they used quite a bit of data and got a data usage notification. They went into the store and were told that it was clear they did not make the switch but there was nothing they could do for them because of the amount of time that had gone by. They are rightfully ****** and will be switching carriers soon.

Might check your account and see if anything has changed.

Covert transmitted pics may get better with 2016 models. I would think they would add the addition of being able to receive a picture resolution higher than the 640x480 they have been using.

Interested to see what they will come out with....but the 2015 Covert is pretty solid IMO

How do you figure 4 Coverts for a $1000? Looked to me like their cams were $419 each. Is there somewhere you can get them cheaper?

I just got mine for $329 off amazon prime.. Verizon model using their program... simple..easy.. and the camera has cost many hours of lost productivity.

If you have a Verizon cell phone call them and see if they are working on the deal to add the camera to your share data plan for $5/month. It would make running the Verizon can a lot cheaper.

No luck as of yet. My contact AT&T got on the phone with tech support and went through everything, reset the system - whatever that means. Camera is still not texting pictures to me.

I'm still trying to learn about these myself. Carrier wise it's att and verizon? Can someone explain the prepaid bit to me and clear up some things? Trying to decide if I want to invest in a couple of these.
