Yeah I can agree there. I'm not buying the "target" stuff.

And they have already been able to conceal carry for 20 years so what's the difference? The only thing that's different is the method of carry. The person is still the same.

Mike, I think that is the 3rd time you have posted this FACT and they choose to ignore it. Not to mention the other 5 or so post that's states this same FACT.

The liberal agenda machine is alive and well. They have brainwashed a portion of the population that guns are evil and should be hidden. And that anyone who wants to carry them openly is somehow a whacko.
I'm about as far from liberal or brain washed as a man can get, that you can take to the bank...
I never saw and still don't see the need for our politicians to waste resources on crap like this.. It's a totally useless law that serves no useful purpose what so ever... If you know of one PLEASE explain..
We have way bigger fish to fry concerning our second amendment rights and this will just add to the BS that we will now have to try and defend. Throwing fuel on the fire.. Gallons at a time.. Let's stay focused on what matters.. Geez.
All because a few want to play cowboy..
Im a CHL and will keep it that way.. I won't be part of the problem..

There you go... "What's the difference".
None. It's a waste of resources.

So you are against carry all together?

I'm not following your logic. Really, I'm not.

It ain't about wanting to play anything. Speaking for me personally it's about comfort, nothing more.

Notice I'm not bashing anyone for deciding to continue to conceal. Carry how you want but don't label me just because I choose to carry in a different manner.

You guys are getting your shirt tail wrapped around the axle. We have had Open Carry in Oklahoma for several years and it is NO big deal at all. I will see maybe two or three guys open carry every week - maybe. I saw one last week at Bass Pro and other than that, I don't recall the last one I saw.

Academy here does not have a sign up one-way or the other. There are a few eating joints and stores than say "no open carry" and that is good with me. I try to stay out of gun free zones and mostly pay little attention to signs on the doors. If I am asked to leave a place of business I will be happy to leave and take my wallet with me.

I personally cannot wait to see the pics that will be posted on here of "interesting" OC sightings. It will outnumber ghost trailers and wolves. Sure other States have had OC for years and without much a do, but this is Texas.....where some have been dreaming of this moment since playing cowboys and native Americans. Unfortunately, OC in the first month will be portrayed in this State by a few attention hungry individuals who choose to do it for all the wrong reasons.

I'm at a loss Mike...nobody will acknowledge any sort of case history of other states & their OC laws, yet since it's now becoming law in Texas somehow history / facts are void & all the negatives that have not happened anywhere else for decades is going to be a massive problem in Texas??

I doubt we will see any retractions once this non issue proves itself...maybe the most senseless waste of worry by grown reasonable people I've ever witnessed.
