I think they have some policy of no firearms on the store floor. I would imagine they post a 30.07 sign at the first of the year but I have been wrong before. I was told about the no guns on the floor deal by an employee there but Ive heard a bunch of bs from employees at sporting goods stores over the years.

Nope- wont even notice. Been carrying a gun in my pocket, waistband, or wherever for 23 years now. Won't change anything now. It really does not matter to me. I just don't like waiting in lines. Everyone getting their feelings hurt because businesses post up 30.07 signs. It is not going to bother me one bit. I think they have every right to refuse to let people come in their stores for whatever reason they want. It is there store. I choose to give them my $ or not. Everyone up in arms about "their rights"- What about the business owners rights?

I think a lot of you guys are completely missing the point. It's freedom in it's purest form and freedom isn't always pretty.
The boycott crap is a liberal argument that's rather ridiculous. Just as they do, you profess to want freedom as long as it's the freedom YOU want.
Academy and HEB are privately owned entities. It's their right to allow or not allow OC/CC in/on their premises. This is the very basic sense of freedom. They are allowed to do as they wish just as you are. Yes you can boycott to your hearts content as is your right but do it for the right reasons, not out of spite for them exercising the very freedom you claim to love which is freedom of choice.
I don't give a rip about OC, I'm glad it's now legal because it's a freakin right and a right not exercised is a right that will be lost. Personally I never will, I like my pistols tucked away where you can't see them but if everyone else wanted to, I don't care and it won't raise an eyebrow from me.
