I think he needs to find a new OC that will put up 35 points a game. You can't win in the Big 12 scoring 17 points a game. I want a stud OC (if ones out there) or stay with Norvell. I have no complaints (outside Iowa State) with Norvell / Traylor combo so I can live with it.
I think he needs to get his guys on campus. Like I have stated several times, name a JR or SR that would start at OU, Baylor, TCU, OSU?
Out of Heard / Locksely / Swoopes / Merrick / Buechele somebody needs to step up and play well. You can't win in the Big 12 without good QB play.
For me.
1. Better / good QB play
2. Charlie's guys
3. OC hire
4. Catch some breaks
Again, the record means nothing to me.

Big 12 hanging tough, but they're not getting one in unless the pokes run the table. ND is the only obstacle for OU.Originally posted by RLB View PostKinda easy to have the toughest SOS when most of all your opponents are better than you are.......

I don't remember the Simms run....I thought he was terrible. Had they left Applewhite as the starter, may have been different outcome too.

Simms was 26-6 as a starter and lots of UT records. All his losses where to ranked teams in the top 15 except at A&M his freshmen year when Major got food poisoning.
. I'd love to have him right now.Last edited by Heath; 11-17-2015, 09:51 PM.

I have been through this time and time again. Simms was the better QB and the best option. I saw every snap of practice (was the QB manager) and on the sidelines / locker room for it all. The team all supported Simms too. Major was a good QB but Simms was the right option.
