Given a few more years I believe their offense will round into shape.

Most Texas fans feel this way. We like what we are seeing even though some setbacks have happened. I'm still trusting the process and think he will build something good at Texas.

What do you feel is the biggest need for this to happen? I think OC is #1. Experience is #2. TBD(coaching#3?)

Big 12 hanging tough, but they're not getting one in unless the pokes run the table. ND is the only obstacle for OU.

Its hard to discount what OU did last week, assuming they win out. Looked pretty impressive.

Texas played the 22nd SOS last year and the 5th so far this year. That sure doesn't help a struggling team but it doesn't give them false hope either.

Kinda easy to have the toughest SOS when most of all your opponents are better than you are.......

The only difference is sumlin hasn't had 6-7, 7-6, 6-7, 4-8 or 5-7 seasons when he didn't have Jff. But nobody said sumlin was an elite coach, that's just BOB spinning the fact that strong was and is a bust and wants to deflect. It's ok BOB I understand your burnt orange doesn't allow you to think rationally, such a pity.

Did anyone call Charlie "elite"? Maybe I missed it. He's been disappointing, no doubt...but he's got another year to get it right.

It's not like he was handed a Heisman qb, an elite receiver, and an NFL offensive line....

No, but he was handed a plate full of 4* and 5* athletes......top recruiting classes over the past few years.

FYI....Sherman wouldn't play that Heisman QB and that elite receiver talent was a basketball player found by Sumlin. O-Line, I'll give ya that....Sherman could coach them boys to play half a game very well!! Sumlin and crew taught them to finish. (And I don't even like Sumlin!!!)

He screwed up with his coaching staff / OC but I'm hearing he didn't have the open check book as once thought. Patterson was trying to go cheap to save money. Patterson wouldn't settle the Wickline lawsuit and allow him to be done with it. I think Patterson's hands are on all this too.

I think he needs to find a new OC that will put up 35 points a game. You can't win in the Big 12 scoring 17 points a game. I want a stud OC (if ones out there) or stay with Norvell. I have no complaints (outside Iowa State) with Norvell / Traylor combo so I can live with it.

I think he needs to get his guys on campus. Like I have stated several times, name a JR or SR that would start at OU, Baylor, TCU, OSU?

Out of Heard / Locksely / Swoopes / Merrick / Buechele somebody needs to step up and play well. You can't win in the Big 12 without good QB play.

I also think that Texas has just had some bad luck / breaks too. It has to turn for him.


For me.

1. Better / good QB play
2. Charlie's guys
3. OC hire
4. Catch some breaks

Again, the record means nothing to me.
