    CFB Week 12 Thread

For the new members, be sure to familiarize yourself with the CFB discussion standards for the site. We (mods) will start a new thread each week for that week's game discussion. TBH is a CFB "smack free" zone. Antagonistic and or combative posts will be deleted and will be subject to infractions.

Keep posts less antagonistic this week, please. I wasn't able to monitor last week's most of the week/weekend, but will be watching this one more closely.

I went to my mailbox in an LSU shirt last night and got made fun of by a neighbor I don't really know that well. I hope kids aren't throwing rocks at me next week.

Well, night game in Norman for the Frogs. More injuries. Gonna be ugly.

Side note, looks like two prime time games for the Big 12 this week

Tech is now bowl eligible!! Finish strong, get a decent bowl bid and win that, then find a replacement for coach bro!!!

How many significant injuries has TCU suffered this year? I think like 25. They have got bad juju around them. I don't think they will win another regular season game. B

I'm thinking that the Hogs will take Ms. State in Fayetteville and stay in the #2 spot in West. I'm very happy that they got there after such a troubled start to the season!

I feel TCU's injury pain! Hogs had 11 injuries early (including their best RB pre-season) but a few guys have got back on the field in the last few weeks and it's made a big difference.

Should be another interesting week across the board.

23 is what they are stating. They had been able to hold the dam together until now, but the injuries have now carried over into the OL. I agree with you, another regular season win is hard to see at this point.

With that being said, I thought they would be a 9-3 team BEFORE all the injuries. So it's hard to complain too much with all of the attrition that has occurred.

Honestly it might be the best coaching job in the country-and that takes a LOT for me to say because I can't stand GP, but acknowledge he gets it done year in and year out.

Aggies win out with Kyle Allen at the helm.

I don't know what else to attribute it to other than coaching. I think playing all of the freshman this year will help for the next couple of years, but it's going to leave a void in about three years since they didn't get to redshirt very many guys.

                          Is he the starter again?

I know this is unlikely to convince the conspiracy theorists, but Big 12 officials released a statement regarding their supposed error in taking a touchdown away from Iowa State. The television replays didn't show evidence to overturn the call, but the replay officials said they had another angle, disclosed in a statement from Phil Laurie, the Big 12 officials' observer:

“The end zone view, which came very late, shows the view of the point of the ball touching the ground and moving, which means that it was incomplete. You can't have possession with the ball hitting the ground and moving. That's the rule.”

It will be interesting to see who starts, he came in and threw the ball well, yes it was against WCU, but he looked to have his arm strength back, and Kyler just isn't ready to stand in the pocket like they're trying to get him to do.

I personally think that if Allen is healthy he is our best shot at winning, yes Kyler brings some excitement to the game, but he's just not ready yet and you could tell that big time last week.
