I know you aren't a chest thumper, I just don't think schools like Michigan, bama, usc would let Texas into their conferences just because Texas said they wanted too. It's kind of like thinking they could open the checkbook and hire whatever coach they wanted. Their is definitely some muscle there, just not as much as horn fans think.

The "We're Texas" slogan commercials must work.

All we hear about in today's world is college athletics is dictated by money. You don't think the Big 10, Pac 12, ACC wouldn't love to get Texas in their conference to increase their revenue for their schools and expand to Texas? Why did the SEC go to 14 teams and add Mizzou and A&M?

Why do you say that Michigan, Bama, USC wouldn't want Texas in their conference? In my mind there are two market drivers that can truly influence a conference to change and those teams are Texas and Notre Dame.

Heath I don't think he's saying they don't want them, I think he's trying to say that if they wouldn't like the "We're Texas" attitude and stuff like that

I honestly think because they are the "chief" of their conference and also typically the dominant team and wouldn't want the competition. I think all the other schools in the conferences would be ok with it though. They need the money more than the big schools do. The big schools pretty much have enough money and donors to do what they need to financially.

I think it is silly to suggest Texas getting to do whatever, whenever they want to do in a conference. That is just what Aggies want to believe. Please name a move that Texas wanted and the rest of the Big 12 did not want to do, but they did it anyway cause Texas said so?
Maybe I phrased that wrong, I'm not saying it takes place in the Big 12 either.

You mean like THE Ohio state university?

Have you ever talked to a Michigan fan?

Again, I ask yall. Please tell me ONE move that Texas has made in a conference that was solely dictated by Texas throwing their weight around. I think you have a perception of Texas being this "big bad bully" but please show me ONE move? Where did this idea come from?

Look I get it, It's Texas and you are blinded by the fact you are an Aggie and you must defend your beliefs to think Texas is the devil. I get that, but I am asking for you to to take off the maroon shades and think about things in college football without the bias you have. It's okay to do so.

Oh I know it's not just Texas that does it and there are plenty others!!

                        And nope I sure haven't!

I didn't say Texas HAS done it. Go back and read. I said the fans think that way. Just like aggie fans think they could block Texas from the sec. I am also saying Texas can't just throw their weight around and get what they want.

Heath I wasn't saying that they go throwing their weight around or anything I was just trying to clarify what I thought he was saying.

And I grew up a longhorn fan, my dad played baseball there his freshman year, I still cheer for them from time to time as well, and the only reason I didn't go to Texas was because I couldn't see myself living in Austin at that time. So I would not say I'm wearing the Maroon shades and think Texas is the Devil, as stated I was just trying to Clarify.

And I'm not one of those Aggies you described. Surely you have figured that out by now on here. I try to be as objective and unbiased as you.

Yes, btw, I'm one of those Aggies that like Texas better than usc or Ohio state. Lord help me with those schools. My roommate and I jumped up off the couch and high five each other when vy, scored that winning td against usc. I don't think Texas is the devil, but I don't think their crap don't stink either.
