I saw the chase and didn't think the PIT was a bad move, but that being said shouldn't cops be held to the same standards as everyone else? If you don't follow company policy you get fired, what is so hard to understand about that? This is why cops have a bad rep right now. Hopefully they will start following the rules set for them and the public start supporting them again.

actually it's not, it is about protecting those at the top, like the chief, mayor and city managers,,,

Fort Worth has big issues right now. And it's going to get worse before it gets better. The pit move was not needed if an hour and a half before they had just boxed him in and stopped him. As far as the guy being stroked well . . .

But it's a bs situation for the officers. IMO they finally did the right thing and sorry *** managers and risk management screws them over.

The cops should have put him in the wall in about 5 minutes. That Chace was a fricking joke. If you think different you need you head examined.

No one thought any different. What's your point? Do you think those officers don't need their paychecks for their families? That would like be warning you not to sell knives on Tbh because the IRS was watching the site and auditing all of the knife makers. So you quit selling knives. Then some bad arse knife maker comes on, sells a ton of knives real quick, then gets audited. Then I sit back and tell YOU, "told you so".

Some of the LEOs around here informed us that most departments don't allow PIT maneuvers. About that time we saw a SWAT vehicle swoop in and end the chase by doing a PIT maneuver. Apparently FWPD is one of those departments that prohibits using that technique - the driver is now off the SWAT team and another got his badge and gun taken for butt-stroking the perp with his weapon.

The Police need to rethink what they should and shouldn't do is all. The politicians are hanging them out to dry.
They should have just broke off the chase and went to get something to eat.
Be real careful who they arrest and if their is any chance of confrontation let them go.
Stop writing traffic tickets and cut off all the revenue.
Shots fired in a neighborhood in the middle of the night, show up in the morning
                                after breakfast
