During that slow speed chase which was followed on a long live thread - a lot of us kept thinking "why don't they just do a PIT maneuver? Some of the LEOs around here informed us that most departments don't allow PIT maneuvers. About that time we saw a SWAT vehicle swoop in and end the chase by doing a PIT maneuver. Apparently FWPD is one of those departments that prohibits using that technique - the driver is now off the SWAT team and another got his badge and gun taken for butt-stroking the perp with his weapon.

What a deal.
No joke, everyone is more concerned about a lawsuit these days than public safety. There are plenty of departments that dont engage in chases at all.
