As soon as that guy "butt-stroked" him I said to my wife he's gonna wish he didn't do that! another cop grab him right away and walked him away. He had a tough time controlling his emotions and is paying the price.

I wouldn't want that guy knocking in my door looking for someone else and finding me by accident!

I know that officer and worked with him for several years. I can assure you he is an officer that can back me any day. He is one of the good ones out there.

Plus, if he had have truly butt stroked the guy, his head would have been split open like a watermelon. He is stout!!

Excuse my ignorance but who is to blame on occasions like this. The Paper pushers or the lawyers that push and incest for cases like these to be filed on the justice system. I find it hard to believe that the criminal knew the pit maneuver was a no no. but the lawyer that watched it on tv knew he had a case as soon as he saw it.

Politics and slime ball attorneys have just about ruined every tool officers have to protect themselves. Its all about protecting the suspects not the officers. We live in a sick and disappointing society in most areas

Pit maneuver is not frowned upon most places I have seen if it is at a safe time/location like it looked like in this instance.

I've wondered about the insurance angle and how it effects police policy - like the way an insurance company imposes safety standards on certain businesses in order to get coverage.

Maybe the SWAT officer can go to work in the armory until he can join up with a new SWAT team filled with characters and ultimately find redemption.

Unfortunetly it does not work that way. Once you are kicked off, that pretty much ends your career on a SWAT team unless down the road the supervisors change.

Man I knew when I saw it that the offc would be in trouble for hitting that guy. Granted the criminal was probably mouthing and the ofcr's adrenaline was up but the cops have to realize that in today's world that somebody is always watching. That's never going to be accepted in society. Only thing that helps the situation is the perp wasn't black.
