I've killed a lot of deer with my 270 with 130 gr bullet. Never lost one. If you truly found lung, you'll find him.

White hair means a low shot. Probably just grazed her low.

Yea when I saw the white hair that'd what I thought also but when I recovered her I hit I tad high and tad back... exited through the top part of other shoulder blade... the bullet.must have broken all to heck cause her lungs and liver where GONE... and her heart had some major cuts into it... but yea the white hair at the feeder really freaked me out cause I though I grazed her also

Just got text. Deer was found. Shot placement looked good from picture. Deer went about 150 yards. He had trouble finding him because rain washed out all blood trail. Real nice Hill Country 8.
