We always just took a couple of baths with a cup of bleach in it, 8hrs apart. Scrubbed down hard with a wash cloth.

Just take a Claritin or any anti-histamine. I got tore up by chigger last week. The daily Claritin has been doing the trick

I have about 50 myself right now. The entire family got covered in them at Cedar Hill State Park this past weekend. We are using Calamine clear. Put it on after your shower and you should be good for the day if you stop scratching them. Rubbing alcohol will take the itch out of them quick, but won't last as long. If you leave them alone, they will stop itching in about 2-3 days. If you scratch them, they will last forever.

Take the hottest bath or shower you can stand for instant relief. It will only last a couple hours but it will relieve the itching.

I have used nail polish on multiple occasions and it seemed to work for me. Also, I do not scratch them, it is not easy to do but it is possible. I'm sure that helps.
