Using a hunting lease to make money?

I offered up my lease for a member of TBH to take his kid camping. I did so because it is such a wonderful place and full of great adventure.
The reason for this thread is.... Would you consider ( if allowed by land owner ) using your place for paid camping by folks just looking for a place away from the norm? I have been thinking that my place would be a great get away( close to Austin) for city folks to go and have no crowds and still have a great adventure.
If allowed, would you entertain the idea of paying for part
Of your lease by selling weekend getaways to the general public? Just a few
People at a time?

Sounds like a good idea. But the more people you allow on your place the more issues you'll have.

Well any way of lowering the lease price would be great but what if the owner decides he wants to rent out the camping rights himself?? You might find unwanted peeps at your lease at in opportune times...

I wouldn't, the first time something goes wrong it's going to reflect badly upon you to the landowner. And like rjtkdplus said, if you get enough people out there, something is going to go wrong.

Following. I wonder what a camping ground would charge for something like that? It would have to be a significant amount of money to make sense and worth your time. I like the way you think. Im always into finding a way to make more revenue. Especially something like that which is non consumptive.

Not worth the headache to me. Campgrounds charge about $10 per night.

Only if you presented it to the land owner and he approved.
I have a 26 year relationship with my land owner.
What i am suggesting is this. I ia ma a firefighter with a lot of extra time)
having about 6 weekends booked with preferably a family at $150-200 a weekend. only on weekends i could actually be there with them and monitor activities. Basically a guided weekend in the woods.

I personally would not do it. I do not want other people on my place out walking around and spooking game even during the spring/summer months. Besides I/we are out there at least 2 weekends and month getting away from it all ourselves. I have invited friends out with us, but only escorted with one of us that are on the lease ourselves.
