We do that at the ranch in the off season. We don't advertise it but we get calls anyway. $30/night whether they camp, park a trailer or sleep in a camp house. We don't allow fishing but we're not far from Concan and Garner so folks go up tgere and just hike around the ranch, enjoying the peace and quiet. It's no big income but it pays for some extra corn.

We could probably advertise and get a lot of clients but we don't want to have THAT much activity - to give the game a little less pressure.

I think the original question is a very slippery slope, and goes no where good. With the landowners and especially other hunters. Its not your own personal playground, its your hunting lease.

I dont go to my hunting lease to just hang out(although theres plenty of that gets done). I think ts disrespectful to the owner and other members to use the place as a private amusement park, and especially to profit off of it.
I don't think several of the folks responding actually read the thread
There is no way I'd consider this WITH OUT the land owners blessing.
It would only be a viable idea if the land owner saw a financial benefit as well.

Are you the only one leasing/hunting the property?

          x100000!

with that being said no way you and the landowner BOTH make enough money to make it worth the hassle of random people coming to your land, knowing where you hunt, and worrying about liability!

            Ok
Let's just pretend this thread never happened.
I intend to invite people to my lease that would probably not be able to get in the woods on their own.

If you and the landowner agree to make it work then why not! The hardest thing there was for me to get used to moving to Texas from New Mexico is the lack of public land. Camping isn't fun any more. Unless I drive 4-9 hours to east TX or West Texas. I pretty much hate camping in State Parks any more. Who wants neighbors when your camping? Kinda defeats the purpose if you ask me.

Anyone with kids want to make a weekend on my place, fishing, canoeing, hiking, shooting a little but mostly just enjoying the outdoors with family?

A little TBH get together around Round Mountain Tx

Can you give me the landowners Name and number so I can call him when things go South.

I don't know who would pay what you said to tent camp to be honest. $150-$200 per weekend? Too many free places to camp I would think unless you had something interesting there for them to do that other places don't have.

I lease property out to hunters and would not allow this.

People would likely opt to go camp at a lake. There's just more to do.

This. I own some acreage and no way do I want strange folks on my property. Pretty sure the land owner would feel the same...ask him.

I have heard of whitetail hunters leasing out quail hunting rights to offset the cost.

For what the market will bare, I don't think it would be worth it for camping, plus the potential downside of something going wrong. JMO
