3" #4's with a quality choke. I shoot this one for ducks and have had good success with it.

I think choke selection is more important than shot size. Each shooter is different too. What works for me may not work for you.

3" #3 with a kicks high flyer(modified). If they are in your face then drop to 2 3/4" #4.

In timber... 3" #3's will use '''#2's. I like 3" #3'3 for most duck hunting but will use #2's if I can't find 3's. For teal I usually use #6's.

I guess i'm in the minority here, but 6's are my favorite load for big ducks. started shooting them about 5 years ago.

I'll keep a box of 4's in the bag in case the ducks are wanting to play a little further out.

Yep! agreed! 1 1/4 oz Peter's "blue whistlers"... When Rayburn was catching water and when Livingston was catching water... there's no telling how many pounds of lead my brother and I put in those lakes back then...

Back then, I could load a box of #5 shot high velocity 1330 fps for under 2 bucks... times change...
