3-1/2 inch #2. Fold ducks out to 50yards. Black cloud has work great for me for several seasons.

Hevi shot 3in BBs 1 1/4 that's all u need.

There's no need for hevi shot or bbs for ducks.

Agreed....BBs for ducks is a sign of of a skybuster.....not a person that can decoy ducks..

I used to shoot BB for a long time it might be a little bit of overkill but I never had one hit the water that wasn't dead on impact when shooting them.

That's right I hate having to shoot a duck again after hits the water.

Big ducks up close- 4's
Decoy shy ducks get 2-3's

That just gets the dog a little extra work. Nothing like watching my old lab Gauge chase a cripple across a 10 acre rice pond. Best was when I watched him chase a specklebelly across a field for probably 150-200 yards. Goose was hit good but couldnt get more than a foot off the ground.
