    Id kill to shoot a Spoonie drake! Shot a beautiful Hooded Merganser drake but just winged him, dove and we saw him pop up 2times in 3 hours woulda been at the taxi with a couple others.

      Had some of the absolute best hunts this year. I've also had a couple where I didn't fire a single shot. Over all it's been a good year though.

                    Been a GREAT season ! At least for hunting! been hit & miss though. Ducks have been steady if we move a lot . Geese are really hero or zero this season. Problem is you either have them or you don't. Like Curt said just being out there beats ANYTIME at work or in town.

                        Man all y'all been having a much better year than most of us here on the extreme upper Tx coast. It's been mostly bust all year. I bet I haven't come close to even firing a box of shells.

                        As far as those hooded mergansers, does anyone actually eat them? I've only killed one or two and they were horrible! If I can identify them
                        They get a pass nowadays.

                          They eat like hell! This drake was beautiful though. They sure look like woodies tearing along he water over the river though lol
