How has everyones season been? Ive killed a bunch, had a decent year. Lots of fronts and open skies thouh. I have been hearing about it being a poor year.

It's been "hit and miss" for us. I've had some great days, but I've had some poor ones. Good or bad, I was in a duck blind instead of behind a desk so it was all pretty dang good. Not too much longer.

Ain't that the truth! I've been taking a few folks with me and it seems like whenever I do, it's a poor day and when I go with the boys we just slay them, kind of embarrassing but they understand. Hunting not killing.

Nice birds saltej....we have head pretty steady action in Garwood TX. A lot more pintails and green heads than years past.

It's been pretty slow for me. I just haven't seen the pintails or widgeon like we normally do on the coast. I'm usually done pretty early in the mornings but it's taken us a lot longer to scratch a limit it seems like this year.

Been an interesting diversity of ducks around. Ive been busting divers lately on a river I hunt in about a foot of water, Scaup, Mergansers, Ringnecks. Shot my first ringneck this year, a purpleheaded Gadwall pretty neat. The most gorgeous pintail in history.....shot off his tail !!! Waiting to bust a big Woodie this year. Shot several drakes but none the size or color or the shot messed em up to bad.

I dont like them much but I saw a beautiful drake this year that i wish i wouldnt have missed!

It's been good here but we've still got a lot of water in the river bottoms so they've kinda been spread out. We did have a lot of new birds show up in the past couple of days so things are looking up!
