I really enjoy fishing but my freshwater angling adventures are pretty much limited to tanks at the lease or friend's properties. (no boat) In the last few years I've really gotten into going after them with a fly rod. They don't have to be too big - a fat bluegill or a 2lb bass on a 5 weight rod is a lot of fun! I wish I could do more fishing at the coast. I've been going 1-2 times annually to a buddy's camp in the Land Cut and it has become my favorite trip of the year. If I lived closer to the salt you would not be able to get me off the water!

I like them about the same, and I am doing one or the other during the 12 months of the year. However, when I am in hunting mode, I don't fish. When I am fishing mode, I don't hunt. If that makes sense. As far as fishing goes, I would be content if all I ever did was chase reds in the shallows

surf... usually start sometime in february on Big black drum and reds, then on to sharks around march usually. Depends alot on temps.
Ill stay stuck in surf fishing mode until closer to september when the hunting bug bites and then im stuck sctratching both itches until the surf fishing finally slows down.

Used to be dove in Sept, bowhunting in Oct, Nov-Dec rifle season/duck season, quail till the end of Feb, and fish till next September.
I burned out somewhat on fishing. Still try to get to the coast when possible and fish at the lease some, but I'd rather play golf than fish now.......and I don't do either unless I can wear shorts and flipflops. I aint freezing my *** off in a boat anymore.

But yes I love to bass fish. Nothing better than making a top water walk or flipping into cat tails and BOOM! Get the net!
