    Questions for those that fish

At what point do you put the bow up and grab your rods for some fishing ?
What do you fish for ?
Would you consider yourself more serious about bow hunting or fishing?

I'm a spawn and bank fisherman. I don't bother picking up my rods till April where it warms up enough for fish to start moving close enough to the shore for me to catch em.

I love to hunt, that being said I would burn ALL my hunting gear in a heart beat if I had to choose between hunting or fishing. not all fishing I might add, only saltwater wade fishing.

I fish when I can't go hunting. The two are in my life 12 months out of the year.

          Offshore.

More serious about fishing, I guess.

I love to wade fish and usually when it's cold. Go after fat specks and nice reds.

Same here it's hard to keep me away from the surf when the reds are running

Interesting. I would hate to have to choose.

I'd rather fish than hunt. That being said, I don't like to fish in cold weather. Works out perfect!

I fish way more than I hunt . Usually 2 days a week from feb. to October . I actually prefer fishing if I had to choose . I get bored sitting still very long . 100% salt water . Normally just flounder but I have been known to target specs wading in the winter.

grew up on the coast with my dad, cut my teeth wading in texas city when I was 8, my dad used to pick me up after he got off shift work @ 2 am and I would go gig flounder with him in the bolivar pocket.

the salt shaped my life, taught me to be a man and how to respect nature in all her furious beauty. hell man, she almost sent me to davy jones' locker once.

I would hate to choose as well, but it would be a real quick choice.

I love both. It's hard to say which I'd prefer. I start Bass fishing as soon as it starts to warm a bit and stay in it til well into deer season. Basically, until it's just too darn cold to be out on the water, I'll be out there. I need to buy some cold weather gear that's good for running across the lake in my boat and I'll be out there earlier/ later in the year.

My bow gets put up when general season ends. Pick the rods toward the end of February. I fish primarily for largemouth and dabble a little with the white bass, crappie and catfish. I'd say my seriousness for both is equal.

My bow stays in the boat, that's how I do my fishing...I haven't fished with a rod and reel in years

                              I love to hunt....but I live on a lake.
I got the best of both worlds.
