There is no sport in that kind of hunting! You might as well buy you a deer and raise it in your backyard til it's 300 inches then walk out there and shoot it off your porch! High fence hunting takes the challenge out of the sport and when their show comes on tv I have to turn the channel cause it's such a joke!

You think just cause you have a feeder you're gauranteed to kill it? You tell me how a high fence of pen raised deer is anything like hunting a feeder in fair chase conditions!? Hunting that feeder is no different than hunting a corn field in Illinois! I've been hunting feeders for 14 years and have shot only 1 deer over 130 inches at a feeder. You are never gaurenteed anything by hunting a feeder and you cannot grow deer like they do in those pens in the wild! People paying that kind of money to go sit in a blind to watch genetically enhanced pen raised deer walk all around and decide which one out of the herd you want then shoot it and have other guys clean it and do all the work is the the reason the sport is being ruined! I personally have seen what it is like to hunt a place like that and there is no sport in it! Hunting free ranging whitetails is a complete different story!

Easy there killer, calm down. Simply pointing out the fact that you bashed high fence but yet have a feed station. Both are elements that are not natural and added to increase your chances of killing a deer. Right? Thats my point, someone is always going to bash someone else's method of hunting when in reality they have some added advantage as well.

It ain't natural but it's no different than hunting a water hole! A high fence and a deer feeder are 2 different worlds! Anyone who has seen it done both ways will have the sense to know that!

I couldnt of said it better. I was born and raised in Southeastern Ohio where many of these stupid places are cropping up. I hate to say it, but the South TX High fence way of hunting has made its way to Ohio! And it is killing the sport of hunting and pricing it out of the "common man" pocketbook. Used to be able to walk up to any farmer in Ohio and get permission to hunt because they hate Whitetails because of crop damage. Now its "Sure, what are you willing to pay". There are still plenty of Public Land National Forests with Monster bucks on them that can be hunted and killed, but it takes a ton of work. TX has spoiled me as I see alot of deer over the feeder year in and year out. Go hunt un-molested land in Ohio and you might see 4 deer in an entire week because it is illegal to feed deer. Got to go pattern them, read sign, hang stands, etc.........its called Hunting!

                      If it has a pedigree......it ain't huntin
But, It could be considered just another form of entertainment, like buying cowboys season tickets. Nothing wrong with entertainment but most season ticket holders will not call themselves real cowboy ball players.
