Now it's starting to look like you have an agenda. We get it.

My brother has a small high fenced enclosure with elk in it. Sometimes, the elk need killing. That's just how it goes.
My only problem with this operation, is that we are looking at hunting in the future. A few years ago there was more resistance in the hunting community but now, there is already wide acceptance and it happened at a much faster pace than expected (for me).
While the hunter jogs toward the elk to get a rest on the polaris, the elk just stands there. Give them credit, they do not mind showing that the hunter needed help to reload and that the elk fell maybe 20 steps from the fence. Ten years ago there would be many of us posting with vehement opposition. Now, there really is no point in it. It's here. It's done. Everyone is allowed an opinion but honestly, our opinions don't matter. This is what it has come to and its not going to change.
If you have pen raised animals, the only way to recover some of your investment is to dart 'em and sell 'em or let people come in and shoot them for you. In ten years that 500 class buck will be ordinary. This outfit alone will produce a dozen of them. No agenda, its just how it is.

maybe we need another section for "people who have expressed their distain for high fence hunting/release/different than I like doing, and have expressed it forty seven thousand times+....club"Last edited by kyle1974; 12-08-2013, 02:37 PM.

I used to bust my tail to hunt public land but hunting nicer places (some with tall fences) has spoiled me to a certain extent. It's been a long time since I have drug a hang on to Gus Engling or Richland Creek.
For the record, I'd go to this place and knock 'em down. I happen to like shooting stuff. Still, it does make me wonder where my limits are and what the future has in store.
If I went, I just would not compare it to a real hunt. I find it interesting that some feel the need to defend it so staunchly. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I think the original poster has plenty of material to judge the place and decide if it is indeed his cup of tea.

These guys are not hiding anything. And for that they deserve credit.
At the same time, why is it so hard to grasp that some might take issue with 100% success rate canned hunts for genetic freaks? There was a time on this very forum when that was almost universally frowned upon.
To me it's a healthy discussion that concerns us all.
The good news is the original poster is going and I'm sure will return with fresh opinion and a hopefully detailed report.
