Gun Control Rant Threads (or Rants in General)

I will borrow from Fishndude and ask why don't you put the Bow back in Texasbowhunter.com You have to wade through way to many gun classifieds, gun kills, gun related, and "let's talk ******* threads" these days to find anything that is related to archery.

Just one person's opinion.

to make it easier for the mods to police all the redunant threads, why not make a single sticky at the top for people to keep up with, and mods can do a little less leg work?

Any thread started after that on the 2nd Amendment will be deleted...

Wow! Hard to believe all of those who want to ban certain type of discussion because they don't like it. I thought around the campfire was a general discussion area? If I don't like a topic, I don't try to get it removed or banned from the site,I just dont read it. It is really simple.

I think members should be able to discuss things like adults if they want. Even if it is a topic you or I are tired of.

You have no idea how many CFB (and especially JFF) threads we've deleted and/or merged. Same concept.

We give a lot of leeway. I'm particluarly addressing the volume of redundant threads. For whatever reason, some prefer to start a new thread instead of contributing to an existing one on the same topic, as if it adds more relevance.

Easy solution...Don't Read It, I can't figure out why people rant about those threads when all they have to do is skip over them and choose to not read them. Makes zero sense to me. Whiny people is the problem

There is the problem. Lots of folks are choosing not to read, or participate, because they have to wade through the same discussions, posted multiple times with different thread titles.

I fully agree with you. I also know that after several years with this group that we are all on the same page when it comes to our rights. Yes this is a repeating topic right now and we have a lot of rants about it.I also know most of us would be talking about the same thing in hunting camp right now. I know that we all want this to be a positive sight, but we all hunt, and we all have guns, and this is a real threat. We are all worried about this is. You can't talk about any of this without being political because that's what it is all about right now. We don't need to beat a dead horse but, I would like to voice my concerns. Thank you for this great community friends. I have met many of you and would stand by any of you in the thick of it. God Bless America, Greg.

I understand Michael. But please realize that some of this information is scary and dare I say, "political". Not that we need several hundred threads about it and not anything we can't get from many other places, but it strikes a passion with many here. It makes some forget the rules and makes it easier to get "passionate" in their thoughts.
Delete what you have to and be patient with us. Most do not mean any harm at all. It's just that TBH is where many live.
For better or worse, you have created either the best thing since sliced bread or a monster. Most days sliced bread.

I can remember years ago when people on TBH were not so sensitive, and generally spoke of all things around the campfire and topics got really heated, but all got along and grew together tighter as a family knowing what was important to each. But over the years we have grown so much and much much more diversified than anybody could have ever hoped and along with that came the chance of certain topics becoming HOT very fast.

"Religion, Sports, high fences" being several from the old days that needed moderating because of PASSION, now forward to this day and age we still have hot topics but with weapons the very things most of us protect our families with or make a living with coming under fire PASSION rises to the top very quickly because none of us want to lose any rights, not even the smallest.

Too be perfectly honest TBH has grown so fast over the years we have lost that family feeling unless its in the inner circle, or something affects us directly. But dont take my word for it Micheal, just look around and see who doesn't post anymore or posts very rarely then reach out to them and ask why...the answers might surprise you.

And those of you that say "no more weapons threads" or Put the "Bow" back in TBH dont have a clue to what this family is about....its about EVERYTHING that matters to US and that means YOU!! Its a family site and at times will be somewhat dysfunctional...But there in lies the PASSION we have for what we believe in..
